It has been reported to be an effective and safe procedure with visual and refractive outcomes that are comparable with those of laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).1-3 Suction loss is a distinct intraoperative complication of SMILE, with the reported incidence ranging from 0.17% to 4.40%.4-9 Several studies have suggested treatment options for cases of suction loss during SMILE; these include immediate repetition of SMILE, immediate conversion to thin-flap LASIK or surface ablation, and postponement of the surgery.4,9-11 However, there is no consensus regarding the optimal management modality after suction loss. In addition, the treatment options vary depending on the stage at which suction loss occurs during SMILE. The reported surgical outcomes after suction loss are not consistent. 즉시 올레이저 라섹(T-PRK) 수술을 시행하여 대응했을 경우,
수술자의 92%가 수술 6개월 후 1.0 이상의 우수한 시력을 보였습니다.
이번 연구를 통해
스마일 수술 중 석션로스는 초기에 올레이저라섹으로 즉시 대응하는 것이
안전하고 효과적일 수 있다는 점을 제시했습니다.
