  • Narrow corridor (154 eyes), Conventional corridor (151 eyes)
  • Inclusion criteria
  • Myopia < -8.00 D
  • 20 - 45 years old
  • Measurements
  • Preoperative, postoperative 1-day, 2-week, 3-month
  • Visual outcomes
  • UDVA, CDVA
  • Corneal topography combined with OCT-based tomography (MS-39)
  • Keratometry (K), corneal higher-order aberrations (HOAs), WTW, pachymetry
  • Corneal dynamic Scheimpflug analyzer (Corvis ST)
  • SP-A1, integrated radius, DA ratio, ARTh

Tip 5: Choose the right speculum

WHEN TO PERFORM IOL ROTATION?

  • Confirmation that cause of error is the IOL position
  • Significant astigmatism affecting perceived visual acuity
  • 0.50 D or more
  • Premium IOL eg. MFIOL or EDOF IOL
  • Rotational stability would reduce astigmatism on lateral symptoms
  • Patient affected by residual astigmatism
  • IOL rotation highest within first day
  • Significantly high astigmatism due to severe IOL rotation can be corrected by back to manufacturer IOL and 1-2 weeks review
  • Underlying astigmatism should wait for stable refraction and rotation based on postop refraction
