Dr. Byung Hoon Chung of Eyereum Eye Clinic presented “Clinical Outcomes of Keratorefractive Lenticule Extraction using Automated Decentration and Cyclotorsion Correction (SmartSight Nova)” at the 2026 Korean Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (KSCRS) Annual Symposium, held on July 12, 2026 at Seoul Dragon City.

The presentation was part of the symposium session “Cataract and Refractive Surgery: 2026 Update.”

The study compared SmartSight Nova, which incorporates automated decentration and cyclotorsion correction, with conventional SmartSight, evaluating postoperative visual and refractive outcomes, corneal higher-order aberrations, and centration accuracy.

The results showed that SmartSight Nova achieved better centration accuracy, while postoperative visual and refractive outcomes remained comparable to conventional SmartSight.
